The BMW Car Club of America New Mexico Chapter held its annual Clean Car Show on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at the beautiful New Mexico Veterans Memorial Park in Albuquerque, NM. The event included a “People’s Choice” competition and also served as a fundraiser for the New Mexico Veterans Memorial Foundation which oversees functions at the Memorial Welcome Center and assists various veterans groups with their missions. Almost $600 was collected from the participants and donated to the Foundation. Many thanks to all who participated and who gave so generously!
Sandia BMW was a corporate sponsor of the event and provided very nice first, second and third place trophies for the People’s Choice awards. Cameron Berenger-Russell, Sandia BMW’s Marketing Director, was present and brought a cool BMW i4 to display. Sandia BMW also pledged a generous donation to the New Mexico Veterans Memorial Foundation. We very much appreciate their support!
First Place in the People’s Choice competition went to Ben Fletcher with his 1988 E24 M6. In addition to a trophy, Ben received a nice BMW Cooler Bag. Second Place went to Jim Storch from Alamogordo, NM with his 2011 E82 1M. Jim also received a set of BMW Roundel Valve Stem Caps. Third Place went to Jim Price with his 2011 E89 Z4. In addition to presenting the awards, Chapter President Phil Undercuffler recognized the veterans present including Everton Allen from Payton, Colorado, Rich Jellison, and Dan McCormack.
