Drive North to El Vado Lake via El Rito & the Brazos Summit

Join the BMW Car Club of America New Mexico Chapter on Saturday, June 10, 2023, for a scenic drive in the mountains of northern New Mexico to El Vado Lake. We will meet at Bode’s Gas and General Store in Abiquiu at 9:00 am. From there, we will drive almost to Tres Piedras by way of El Rito with a stop at the Ojo Caliente store/gas station, then on US Hwy 64 over the Brazos Summit to Tierra Amarilla with a brief stop at a scenic overlook.  At Tierra Amarilla we turn northwest to El Vado Lake for lunch at The Dam Diner near El Vado Lake State Park. After lunch, we will head south to Ghost Ranch for a tour of the paleontology and/or anthropology museums.
