The journey with the BMW Car Club of America New Mexico Chapter Cardinal Point Drive West to Bibo, New Mexico on March 9, 2024, started from the parking lot of Los Lunas Walmart. Joined by numerous cars from the Albuquerque BMW Zs ZSCCA Area Group, we enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect. Our caravan embarked on an exhilarating drive along NM 6, tracing the original 1926 Route 66 alignment up to Laguna. Transitioning onto the historic Route 66 alignment, established in 1937 after the completion of the Rio Puerco bridge, which notably shortened Route 66 by 399 miles. Navigating through scenic NM 279, we journeyed northwards towards Bibo, NM, culminating at the quirky Bibo Bar and Grille for a great meal including their award winning Green Chile Cheeseburger!
