NM BMW CCA member Shiv Patel lives in Rio Rancho, New Mexico where he went to high school and is an Information Technology Specialist at Rio Rancho Public Schools. He drives a Jet Black 2009 128i with the Sport Package, and currently has almost 169,000 miles on it. He says “It is my daily driver, and it is the best car I’ve owned, by far! It’s the perfect size for me, and it is very maneuverable.” He would like to eventually get either an E30 M3, 1M or an M2.
Shiv is a member of the New Mexico Chapter Board of Directors. In addition, he also volunteered to be Assistant Webmaster/Social Media Manager for the chapter. During the pandemic when various conditions combined to require the chapter re-host its website, the decision to redesign it to attract a younger audience was made. Shiv played a crucial role in this process. He reviewed many BMW CCA websites and picked several that he thought were appealing. After reviewing the common attributes of these websites, a redesign of the New Mexico BMW CCA Chapter website was completed and Shiv participated in testing and verification activities.
