The BMW CCA New Mexico Chapter held a get-together for dinner and drinks at Sobremesa Restaurant and Brewery on Thursday, September 21, 2023. The gathering on Albuquerque’s west side was well attended including members from Santa Fe in the north and El Paso in the south! The weather was perfect for the group who sat outside while they enjoyed very good food and excellent service by the cheerful staff. The attendees had friendly chats and of course, talked about BMWs, many of which were visible from our outside vantage point. The excitement for the upcoming Karl Fox Memorial Fall Tour was palpable as attendees in anticipation discussed driving the Devil’s Highway.
The event was supposed to have been a Tech Session at Hans Wittler’s Automotive Northside and had to be rescheduled due to an unforeseen family emergency experienced by Andreas Wittler. Upon hearing from Andreas, our Event Chair, Gregg Mich, suggested an alternative Chapter social meeting for the original event date at Sobremesa. During the pandemic, Gregg’s company, Dapwood Furniture Co., had been commissioned by the Brewery to build a custom bar and countertops in an environmentally sustainable fashion. Attendees at the get-together can attest to the quality of the beautiful walnut bar. The Tech Session at Hans Wittler’s Automotive Northside has been rescheduled to Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 6 pm.
